Can Chris Young Get That Grammy Home?

‘Nashville Star’ champion Chris Young will be hoping that he’s got some winning luck left, as he’s been nominated for Best Male Country Vocal Performance at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

The nomination for track “Gettin’ You Home” is his first, so Last.fm Trends are looking into his scrobbles and checking out the competition to see how he might do.

The track has a steadily-growing fanbase judging by its Recent Listening Trend graph – however, it’s building on a lot smaller foundations than some of the other nominees.

Young has something of an outsider’s chance, but the nomination bodes well for his career, as he’s only on sophomore album The Man I Want To Be.

Young’s competition in the category is tough, however: three-time previous winner Keith Urban is also nominated for “‘Til Summer Comes Around” – and as he won in 2005, 2007 and 2009, by those odds he should be due another this year.
